Trust me come and play this game! Mafia online texted based rpg!! It rocks!!
MafiaReturns is a great game. If you don't mind the owner making changes to the game in the middle of game wide wars that affect the outcome of the wars. If you are interested in playing with player/staff who will interpret the rules in the best way to benefit the group they play with. The owner did stand out against sexual harassment when a player posted a rape rp the rape rp post was deleted and the player was banned from the game. Only to return from the ban and continue sexually harassing female players and excessively using the game dynamics to harass other players. Even though players have spoken out against this person being allowed back in the game every time he has been banned the owner let's him come back. If you enjoy a game where the player/staff abuse their power, a game where the owner creates new rules in mid wars and events that change the outcome, a game where you are allowed to openly harass, and stalk other players then this game is for you.

I love this game! It is, by far, the most social browser game I have tried. Not that I have tried a lot of them, but still some, and most of them seemed to lack this kind of community that we have on MR.

This game has the potential to really be very entertaining and the possibility to be a true classic, unfortunately, because a lot of the game play is LITERALLY dictated by the players, oppressive regimes restrict a single player's opportunities to advance. Regardless, it's a fun time waster, and it can be more if you want to put work into it.

I fell in love with this game on day one because it is an awesome game. The people are great to talk with and connect from all over the world. The friendships I have made make me grateful everyday I have joined. The owners are incredible and friendly. :) I have found a few very close friends that I will cherish forever. This is a mafia RPG. Build your character in any way that you want. There are many helpful people including the admins. You can easily play a few hours a week or many hours a day and still have a worthwhile account.
The most helpful and friendly community I have come across in years of gaming. Great game to play at work or home. Works on your phone too, so always available.

This game, it's hard but that's part of the fun. You may make friends and die by one of them, Be a Loan Shark and lose all your money quickly by them Suicide. Join a family, enjoy it or have it be your worst nightmare. When you die you lose all the money you had ans start all over in a new family if you want my guess. 5/5

I enjoy this game, I've been on it for 8 months now, I find the people on it easy to talk to and the administration is doing things to constantly make the game better. The only issue I ever come up with, is at times it gets boring because the lack of wars, which isn't always a bad thing.

I've played the game for about three years now. It is a fantastic game but it takes time to learn. It isn't a game you can immediately jump into and go "Damn, I'm good at this game". There are a lot of aspects to learn. The beauty about the game is that while there are different things; You can be good at a specific something and learn other things as well.
When I was new to the game, I was an awful ranker, an awful shooter, the only thing I did properly was sell drugs constantly and I made money and became a family earner. That went well and when our family came into a big war, I learned how to pro shoot (Shooting a friendly player purposefully attempting to fail in order to give them 4 hours of protection).
Later on; I learned how to shoot a gun but even when I learned to race for inactives and shoot things, I was never very good. It took me months to learn how to hit consistently and effectively.
Last of us, my least favorite; I learned how to get units in extreme amounts of time. These three things are all three things everyone should learn here and it is something almost anyone who has played before can help you with.
Overall; The community here is fantastic. We're very heavy IRC users and we're from all walks of life. The game is well worth trying to learn.

It's indepth, more so than you'd think, there is an entire social structure built by players and not just the developers. This can work for, and against, what the developers objectives are and create some amazing results.

I have played a few different mafia themed text/browser based games over the past near decade, and I have never fallen so hard and so quickly for any as I did for this one. I have given up on my other games and focus solely on Mafia Returns. It has a great admin team, awesome userbase and is set up easily for anyone to learn to play! 10/5 stars!

All round it has a great design that is easy to use and find your way around. Only downside is that it doesn't have a functional Mobile version but besides that, the website is awesome and I would highly recomend you try it out!
