Roboid adds premium

Roboid is a free to play game with no ads. But as of now a major feature for Roboid has been released. They have added a contribution model which allows players to purchase Contributor Status which comes with some in-game money plus various contributor 'perks' such as live indicator icons.
As a free-to-play game with NO annoying advertisements they rely on player contributions to fund future development.

It is not an easy job to maintain a game for free, hosting costs, domain costs, development costs, support costs and so on... If you think about it then giving a few bucks now and then isn't such a big deal. If you like what you play, then support the developers and the developers will be motivated to keep the game going and updated.
